August Race™ Announces Global Ocean Sustainability Leader Holly Manvell for Oceans Assured™ Launch

August Race™ has today confirmed the second keynote speaker for the upcoming global launch of its Oceans Assured™ initiative, taking place on 22 April (World Earth Day) at 3.30pm (BST).
The event, which will be broadcast live from Premier Marinas’ flagship facility at Noss on Dart, continues to bring together leading voices from across the marine, environmental and sustainability sectors.
Joining the keynote lineup is Holly Manvell, Founder of Clean Sailors and ReSail by Clean Sailors, a recognised advocate for ocean conservation and circular economy innovation within the global sailing community.
A keen sailor with extensive experience at sea, Holly founded Clean Sailors in 2020 with the aim of engaging sailors and water users in safeguarding the future of the ocean. Her work has since grown into an international movement focused on awareness, education and practical environmental action.
In 2021, she launched ReSail by Clean Sailors, a global initiative designed to extend the lifecycle of sail materials by connecting old sails with new uses. The platform has rapidly expanded and now operates across more than 45 drop-off locations in 15 countries, reflecting increasing demand for sustainable, circular solutions within the marine sector.
Holly’s broader work spans international development and environmental advocacy, having collaborated with organisations including the United Nations Association on initiatives addressing climate, population, and air and water quality. Alongside this, she brings a strong commercial background, supporting organisations from private equity to publicly listed companies in both operational and strategic development.
She is also an appointed advocate for the Ocean Conservation Trust and a Henri-Lloyd Pioneer.
Her inclusion in the Oceans Assured™ launch highlights the growing importance of community-led initiatives and circular economy thinking in addressing marine environmental challenges.
Through Oceans Assured™, August Race™ is driving a complementary approach - focused on reducing harmful inputs into the marine environment through the development of 100% Non-HME, MARPOL Annex V compliant cleaning and maintenance solutions.
Together, these approaches reflect a broader shift within the marine industry towards practical, evidence-led sustainability - combining innovation, responsible product development and behavioural change.
