During METSTRADE, August Race held a series of meetings with strategic distribution partners from around the world in support of the Oceans Assured initiative, with territory appointments now confirmed and details to be announced shortly.

Peter Wallbank, Co-Founder and Group Technical Director of August Race Group, was invited to speak alongside ICOMIA Technical Director Patrick Hemp at METSTRADE, addressing regulatory compliance and MARPOL Annex V awareness within the recreational marine industry.

Oceans Assured™ has been endorsed by Innovate UK, the UK Government’s national innovation agency, recognising the initiative’s role in accelerating fact-based sustainability across the global marine industry. The endorsement supports the strategic roll-out of Oceans Assured™, connecting international partners and enabling rapid adoption of MARPOL-aligned, evidence-led solutions at scale.

Peter Wallbank, Technical Director of August Race, has been invited to join the ICOMIA Technical Committee, chaired by Sebastien Milcendeau. The ICOMIA Technical Committee plays a central role in supporting the global recreational marine industry by monitoring emerging and evolving technical regulations, guiding the development and revision of ISO standards, and encouraging alignment between international frameworks such as ISO and ABYC.
