August Race™ Bio-D Antifreeze is a non-toxic, biodegradable winterisation fluid developed for the protection of onboard water systems in marine and leisure environments.
Formulated using food-grade propylene glycol and glycerin, combined with low-toxicity corrosion inhibitors, it provides effective freeze and burst protection while remaining safe for potable systems when flushed correctly.
Free from nitrites, amines, phosphates, borates and azoles, it offers a safer alternative to traditional antifreeze products while maintaining high-performance protection down to −50 °C depending on dilution.

All containers are manufactured from recyclable white HDPE and designed to support responsible disposal and recycling practices.
THE METHOD
Always ensure systems are properly prepared prior to winterisation.
- Drain the water system fully before application
- Fill lines, tanks and toilets with neat product until coloured fluid is visible at all outlets
- Leave in place during winter lay-up to provide freeze and burst protection
- Flush thoroughly with fresh water before recommissioning potable systems
- If diluted, confirm freeze protection level using a refractometer or hydrometer
