AUGUST RACE INCREASES ITS PRODUCT RANGE

Marine maintenance company August Race was founded in 2015 and since then the business has established itself as a major player.

Its 20 maintenance products, catering for everything from RIBS and yachts to powerboats and kayaks, are distributed via 174 UK marine outlets and there are also exports to the USA, Australia and now, Ireland. 

In February, August Race introduced a synthetic deck cleaner which it reports has proven ‘incredibly popular’ and in the spring is launching a range of paddle board/kayak cleaner and protectant kits.

Water repellent

“The cleaner removes salt deposits and grime build-up and the protectant repels water, helping to reduce the presence of mould and mildew. This typically appears when boards are stored whilst damp,” explained Sarah.

August Race says the stand-up paddle board, kayak and wake-boarding sector is growing rapidly and following the brands’ success at the Southampton Boat Show last year, the business has doubled its stand size for 2018 and booked a space at METSTRADE in November.
